Heidi Hair, Poncho and Boots to help bear finals week.
Hang in there troopers
Last night I wore my Mom’s vintage earrings and burgundy velvet scarf.
There is a history that exists in garments. It is something that feels nothing short of sacred to me.
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday xo

Hi we’ve come to cause mayhem.
Me love my Tricia <3
In my marketing class we recently learned that a customer’s expectation directly affects customer satisfaction. I started to wonder if the same condition is reflected in relationships. Relationships come in all shapes and sizes just like people. Each individual can draw their own conclusion on what they expect. Although expectations can seem like such a dangerous thing when you are a human being. Some people expect the worst, some the best. Some people deny their expectations while some people wear them with pride. It leads you to question when are we expecting too much, or demanding too little. While existing in a time where the vast randomness and possibilities are endless, what do we expect?

Looks of Life in Recent Times
I spotted this Fashionista strutting on campus on an early cold Monday morning and one word came to mind, sophisticated. Her entire look had a subtle elegance to it. Some people hear sophisticated or elegant and think of decadent jewelry, but sometimes it is much more understated. I chose this Fashionista to highlight because she was bringing her own elegance to this look in a genuine way. Although she is ready to face the cold and is bundled up, you can tell she feels comfortable and you can get a sense of her personal style.
I like how the gorgeous, long, brown overcoat is both burly yet chic. I find it to be one of those pieces that is a true reflection of the times. On campus and on the runway there has been a trend of these very Game of Thrones inspired pieces. I love that this jacket can bring that strapping warrior vibe, but also is one of the most exquisite pieces I have seen on campus recently.
I love the way the Fashionista layers her look. Underneath the overcoat, she wears a long cardigan that drapes down almost to her ankle. This is one of those small details in the look that is both eccentric and genius. The detail in length and the way it flows brings something very special to the look. I love the fluidity of the garment making it graceful but the vast length of the drape makes it a powerful statement.
This Fashionista completes her layers with a blue button-up, one of fall’s critical staple garments. I liked the militaristic feel of the boots she rocks. The color palette in the boots specifically resonates with the themes of these warrior inspired motifs. The dark tan and military green in the boots are one of those infectious fall color combinations that everyone should experiment with.
Fashionistas and Fashionistos, don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone while layering pieces. Explore new militaristic fall colors, and warrior inspired looks. Brace yourselves winter is coming.
